Australia’s minimum age of criminal responsibility is lower than the worldwide average and health and legal experts are calling for South Australia to fulfill its international obligations and raise the age to 14 years old.
While the law is generally designed to protect our rights, it can sometimes overreach, be oppressive, unwittingly capture innocent people, or leave vulnerable people exposed to exploitation.
