Guiding and Supporting the Profession: A Message from President David Colovic

David Colovic assumed the role of Law Society President in January and has outlined his goals for the year ahead:

• Promoting the responsible use of artificial Intelligence and harnessing its opportunities.
• Helping practitioners meet their obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing regime, which commences on 1 July 2026.
• Advocating for greater investment in the justice system, particularly in relation to court facilities and access to justice in regional areas.
• Promoting South Australian lawyers, firms and young talent by advocating for business policies that support local firms, and by exploring ways to grow the profession in SA.
• Developing resources and strategies to enhance the well-being of the profession.
